All Natural, Dry Aged Beef
ALL NATURAL - Erwin Farm and Ranch beef animals are never administered growth hormones (small implants to increase weight gain), or antibiotics.
DRY-AGED signifies that after the animals are harvested we hang the carcass in a climate controlled cooler for 21 days; some of the moisture in the muscles evaporates which concentrates the flavor in the meat. In addition, naturally occurring enzymes will start to break down the connective tissue in the muscle greatly enhancing the tenderness. Dry –aged beef is typically not sold in super markets. We are offering this product locally that is customarily only found in high end steak houses.
At Erwin Farm & Ranch, we specialize in providing locally sourced, responsibly raised, grass fed beef for you and your family.
Our cattle are primarily Angus influenced, and are raised on ranch land throughout the Texas Gulf Coast, grazing on planted summer and winter pastures, as well as native Texas and improved perennial grasses.
When you buy locally grown beef, you are connecting to and supporting the Texas Ranching tradition that has been a part of our state’s heritage since the very beginning. Buying local beef from Erwin Farm and Ranch is a totally different experience from going to the grocery store to buy a steak.
